Senior wide receiver Tajik Bartholomew signed to play football for Southern Nazarene University this morning. Tajik was accompanied by his parents Kendrick and Rita as well as a full crowd of Viking student-athletes. Although Tajik will continue his football playing career at the collegiate level, he also excels in other sports as a standout member of both the Viking boys basketball and track teams. His school involvement reaches beyond the athletic arena as Tajik is is a member of the Chess club, Ultimate Frisbee club, Life Changers, FCA, and campus service days all the while being an honor roll student. “Tajik is a special person. He is blessed with an exceptional athletic ability and is truly a great character kid. Tajik will be missed on the field and in the hallways for sure,” noted Head Football Coach Jonathan Hayhurst. Tajik will pursue a degree in environmental science.
