Viking Baseball Defeats Reagan 3 – 0 to Open District Play

Junior Ivan Pizano threw 7 shutout innings as the Vikings defeat Reagan 3- 0 to open district play.

Pizano didn’t allow a single run as Vikings defeated Reagan 3-0 on Monday on a beautiful afternoon at Nelson Field. Pizano allowed just two hits and struck out 11 Raiders on the day!

The pitching was strong on both sides.  While Pizano struck out 11, Reagan pitchers combined for 9 K’s of their own.

Pizano earned the win for Vikings. He threw seven innings, allowing zero runs, two hits, striking out 11, and walking one. Foyt took the loss for Reagan. He tossed five innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and striking out eight.

Christian Nieto Munos and Luis Zayas each drove in one run to lead Vikings. Vikings stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Ahrian Albis Ramos led the way with two.

The Vikings shined defensively, committing zero errors in the field.
