Meet Recap

Lanier tennis had another great opportunity to play a dual with Cedar Creek this spring. As always, the matches were a great competitive match up. Last fall Lanier was unable to claim a victory, but redeemed themselves this spring.

Varsity won overall 5-4. Rodrigo Paquot had a strenuous match against Aleman from Cedar Creek. Miguel Tererro won his match 8-4. Our number one boys doubles team, Ricardo Martinez and Jeorqui Diaz, had a shaky start to their match, but ended up coming back and winning 8-5. Playing together for the first time, Mario Hernandez and Fidel Aguilar showed they were a solid team by winning their match 8-3. The matches were tied up at 4-4, with Ashley Luna-Berrones stealing the show. Ashley played an incredible match that went into a tiebreaker where she won 9-7.

Junior varsity tied overall with Cedar Creeks junior varsity at 4-4. Congratulations to Ida Hansen, David Villalobos, and Eric Palamores for winning their matches.
