Maddy Brown was one of two seniors recognized for her 4 years of hard work as a part of the Lady Viking Basketball Program.

This last Friday was the Lanier Girls Basketball Parent and Teacher Appreciation and Senior night. Thanks to all of the parents and teachers who came and were recognized for all the support they have given the Lady Vikings this season. Also, a special shout out goes to the two Seniors, Maddy Brown and Kiearra Escamilla, recognized at the game for their 4 years of consistency and hard work.

While both the Freshmen and JV teams lost by small margins, they fought hard for the whole 32 minutes. The Varsity game was controlled by the Lady Vikings from the opening tip with a suffocating team defensive effort that held the Knights to just 11 points in the first half. A season high 27 steals were snatched up by the strong Viking defense.

Erica Coleman again led the charge on the other end of the court with an astounding stat line of 30 points, 7 assists, and 10 steals. Notable contributions also came from Precious Brewer (13pts, 8rebs, 4steals), Maddy Brown (13pts, 6rebs, 4assists, and 3 steals) and Faith Apout (8pts, 6rebs, 2assits, and 3 steals).

The Lady Vikings will head to Travis High School this Tuesday to face the Rebels. The Freshmen game is at 5:30, followed by JV at 6:30 and Varsity at 8:00. We hope to see you there!
